Dealing With The Stress Of It All

dealing with the stress

I don’t have to tell you that the stress that we’re experiencing right now can be overwhelming.

I think I can safely say that most of us haven’t felt stress like this since 9/11. The uncertainty and anxiety are tainting every experience we’re having.

Whether it is the jittery waking hours or the sleepless nights. We feel like we’re living on the razor’s edge.

What we are noticing now, more than ever, is how our over-analytical, constant thinking, exploring the endless hypotheticals conscious mind is working overtime.

We, rationally know, that these racing thoughts aren’t good to give energy to, but trying to quash them feels incredibly difficult.

We have different ways we deal with it. Whether it be eating too much or indulging in too much alcohol to find some sort of escape. Of course, this isn’t a strategy for the long term.

When we can’t clear that energy imprint, it makes its way into our subconscious and manifests as blockages in our energy system. And that’s a whole lot of crap that you do not want.

All of this also begs the question, why us? Why do we have to deal with this now?

I don’t have the answer, but I will share my opinion. I truly believe we choose when we get to experience our time here. We have a chit-chat with God, discuss what adversity or tragedy we choose to experience, and talk about the lessons we want to learn while we’re here in our meat suits.

If you look at life in that way, then we both chose to be here for this moment.

This means that it may be the moment that helps you shift from indulging the fear, anxiety and finding ways to support others while you do the soul work that you’re meant to do now.

We can’t control these times, but we can control how we react to them. We choose how to react even though we need to remind ourselves constantly now that this is not all about us and our fears.

Solutions, creative thinking, and kindness are the paths forward. Approach the challenges you’re facing with this in mind and remember the possibilities are endless in the good that will come from this experience.

Also, I’m sharing with you some crystals, essential oils, and rituals you can do to help you manage your stress and anxiety so you can serve others from a healed and rejuvenated space.

Crystals

Blue Chalcedony

Will help you to find calm in the storm and help you do some inner healing.

Cuprite

Will help you alleviate your fears that are linked to your physical survival, which I think is so important in these times.

Danburite

Will help to uplift your mood, releases stress and melts your worries away.

Pink Tourmaline

As with all pink stones, this is a perfect one to heal your heart and help your soul to radiate the love we need in the world.

Essential Oils

Clary sage - great for emotional balance.

Lavender - lessons anxiety and is a great essential oil to have on hand to for relaxing sleep.

Rose -  promotes calmness and relaxes you. It takes approximately 2 tons of rose petals to produce a pound of Rose essential oil and that’s why it is expensive.

Rituals

Grounding

This practice allows you to plug back into the earth. It will help you to recharge and calm your emotions. You can do grounding exercises by going out and standing barefoot on the earth (aptly called “earthing”). Or you can do a visual grounding exercise that I wrote about here.

Clear Your Auric Field

Grab yourself a selenite wand and use it to brush the energy off all around your body. You’ll hold the selenite about 3-4 inches away from your body and trace your body’s outline starting at the top of your head and working your way down. When you get to your feet, lift the soles of each of your feet and tap your selenite wand to release that energy back to the earth.

Be Grateful

Gratitude is an amazing practice that can take your mind off all the stressors in the world and brings your mind back to everything that you are thankful for. Practicing gratitude should be a daily practice.

Smudge

When emotions get too much and you need to clear the air, light up sage or palo santo. Sage and Palo Santo have antiseptic, antimicrobial, and antibacterial properties when they’re burned. Beyond those amazing benefits, you can feel the smoke clear the negativity from the home.

Get Creative

Creativity comes in all forms and at all times. When you haven’t felt creativity strike you in a while, watch a YouTube video or listen to some music. It may inspire you to create something. And while you don’t have to invoke your inner Martha Stewart, you can tackle a small thing to feel your creativity start to spark up again.
