Top Cheap Crystals For Beginners
While I love cheap crystals as much as anyone. With that being said I do want to give you the information you need to know before you spend a dime to start or grow your healing crystal collection.
When it comes to buying cheap crystals the important thing to remember is that you shouldn't spend your money willy nilly. I want to help you curate your own healing crystal collection that you won't regret. But that doesn't mean there aren't some spectacular budget crystals to start your collection.
Clear Quartz
Clear quartz is the #1 cheap crystal that you must have in your collection. It is by far one of the most important crystals to have in your collection.
Because clear quartz is one of the most plentiful crystals on the planet, you will find this easily and for a relatively cheap price.
It is the most versatile healing crystal that you will ever have in your collection. You can work with clear quartz to amplify the energy of other crystals, you can program it to help you manifest your intentions, wonderful for the center of your energy grid and can be used for practically any purpose that you set for it.
Now, here's what you need to know about buying clear quartz, as with many healing crystals, the clarity will raise the price of it. You can find cloudy clear quartz all day long and many times people will sell that cloudy quartz, assigning that some magical property that may or may not be true, at a premium because it's an easy way for them to sell a 'less desirable' crystal.
The next thing you need to look for is bubbles which if you see bubbles, run away. The only time you will see 'bubbles' in quartz is if it is an enhydro quartz AKA meaning that you will see an actual water bubble that moves inside of it.
You can start your collection with a tumbled practically water-clear quartz for under 5 bucks.
If you'd like to get something a bit more substantial than a small tumbled crystal you may want to get yourself a clear quartz generator or obelisk. Both of these shapes will work as a wand or can be worked within the center of any crystal grid you create.
Amethyst
Amethyst is also widely available throughout the world making this another easy, cheap crystal to start or add to your collection.
Amethyst is a member of the quartz family and it is the stone to help you develop your spiritual conscious connection to God.
Also, a great stone to help you curate a protective bubble around yourself and within your sacred space.
I utilize Amethyst clusters to place the healing crystal jewelry that I've worn during the day to clear my crystals while I sleep.
When it comes to buying Amethyst the biggest thing that determines the price is the intensity of the purple color. You can find less purple, more lavender pieces of Amethyst at a really affordable price where if you look for a larger Amethyst, deeply purple those will cost you a pretty penny. But that's not to say that you can't find deep purple Amethyst tumbles for under $5.
Rose Quartz
Rose Quartz, obviously another member of the quartz family, is the pink variety of quartz. The ultimate love stone - love for yourself, for others, for community and Earth.
Working with your Rose Quartz you will be able to heal past wounds and start to see the world through rose-colored glasses, pun intended.
Like Amethyst, the most prized of Rose Quartz is the bubblegum pink colored stones. But again, like the Clear Quartz and Amethyst, you will be able to grab yourself a piece of tumbled Rose Quartz for under $5 or a beautiful carved Rose Quartz heart for $10. A carved heart represents love and when a Rose Quartz is carved in a heart represents the connection to listening to your heart.
Selenite
Selenite is my absolute favorite for clearing my auric field when I've been away from home and it's too 'peopley' out there. Here's what you need to know about Selenite.
It's a form of gypsum and it is pretty soft on the hardness scale. What that means to use is that you need to be gentle with it and do not expose it to tons of water or it will eventually dissolve.
Selenite is a fast-acting crystal that will help you clean your energy field. If you want to try a fun exercise with selenite you can lay down, place a wand along your spine and see how awesome you feel after about 10 minutes.
Selenite will help you balance your chakras and when I tell you that 'scrubbing' your auric field, which extends about 12 inches out from your physical body, with a piece of Selenite feels amazing!
Selenite is really affordable where you can get a small tumbled piece of Selenite for under $5. I have one of these tumbles that I placed upon my Moon Oracle deck when I'm not using it.

Angelite
Angelite is one of my favorite 3rd eye crystals that is super affordable considering all of the magic that it brings.
I never would've anticipated that out of all my pendulums, clear quartz included, the accuracy I find using my Angelite tumbled as a pendulum. It's not the fancy pants 'looker' that will turn heads, but it's not to be underestimated by any means.
Its soft blue color that will help you with communication. Whether you're trying to communicate your thoughts or if you're trying to communicate with your spirit guides and God.

Amazonite
If you're looking for cheap crystals to help you effectively protect yourself from EMF, then Amazonite is a great one to have.
If it was me, I'd get a slew of tumbled Amazonite and make a crystal fence (picture that in your mind lol) in front of your computer, your router, your microwave, etc.

The last cheap crystal that I'm going to bring up today is Green Aventurine because this is a stone for anyone who likes attracting money. But if you're not into attracting money with a cheap crystal, do I even know you?
Green Aventurine is all about growth whether you want to grow your garden or grow your wealth or grow your zest for life. The color green is about growth so really, no matter what you're looking to grow this "cheap crystal" is the one you will want to have on hand, in your prosperity grid or in your garden.
Cheap Crystals Don't Mean Less Effective
One of the things I want you to remember, that we all start our healing crystal collections somewhere with the crystals that we can afford. AND know that even if you can't afford the gemmiest, most beautiful crystals at this moment, the "cheap" ones that you're attracted to are just as effective.
When we talk about the color, shape, and quality of crystals, know that you can have a crystal that someone else doesn't think is gorgeous, but it can still help you do the work that you need to.
